What you won’t see on our website!
Find out more about what you will not see on our website at River Insolvency
If you have checked a number of websites while looking for debt help, you might be thinking that ours looks a little different……
Sometimes what isn’t on a website is just as important as what is, and so, we have prepared this page to explain why this site might be missing one or two things you might have seen elsewhere!
Trust Pilot Reviews!
I don’t see any Trust Pilot reviews on your website! How can I trust that you know what you are doing without a raft of 5* reviews?
You may have seen a number of websites linked to large numbers of glowing reviews. What may not be immediately noticeable is that these are almost always from clients who have only just reached out for debt advice and may not even yet have entered a solution, let alone completed the 4+ (Scotland) or 5+ (England, Wales, and NI) years it takes to successfully navigate a Trust Deed or Individual Voluntary Arrangement.
It is also not unheard of for staff to receive bonuses for being able to obtain such reviews from clients.
We are with you for the long haul – not just the first 48 hours. Once you have successfully completed your solution, should you wish to leave a review then we would of course be delighted to receive it. Until then however, we will concentrate on making sure your debt solution runs as smoothly as possible and not look to distract ourselves with collecting 5* reviews.
Government Approved/Government Legislation
A number of websites in the debt sector will refer to either a Trust Deed or an IVA as being ‘government approved’ or relate it to ‘Government Legislation’. Whilst both are legislated solutions it is important that they are not advertised as such in accordance with advertising rules laid out by the Advertising Standards Authority:
Write off up to XX% of your debt!
The same enforcement notice, linked to above, confirms that advertisements or websites should not detail that clients can write off a % of their debt without robust documentary evidence! Despite our team having a combined experience of well over 40 years, River Insolvency has only recently launched to the market and as such we do not have client’s who have been through the full 4+ years of debt solutions and come out of the other-side.
You will therefore not see any such claims for quite some time.
FCA Authorisation
Andrew Maak is a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner regulated by the Insolvency Practitioners Association. All information provided is on the basis that there is a reasonable expectation of an Insolvency appointment. Should that not be the case then you will be signposted accordingly.
River Insolvency is committed to obtaining FCA authorisation in the future to ensure that as well as offering advice on Insolvency Solutions we are best placed to provide the full suite of debt solutions to anyone who knocks on our door seeking assistance.
I still see issues!
Despite all of the above human error can still occur. As such, if you see anything on our website which you don’t agree with then please contact us.
